How do you perform Curtsy Lunges?
- Stand upright with your feet shoulder-width apart.
- Take a diagonal step back with your right foot.
- Cross your right leg behind your left leg and lower into a lunge.
- Lower your right knee to just above the ground.
- Make sure your left knee stays above your ankle and does not extend past your toes.
- Return to the starting position and switch legs.
- You can hold your hands sideways for better stability, although this is not necessary.
Common faults
- Front knee extends past the toes.
- Unstable lunge.
- Hips out of line.
- Back knee does not reach low enough to just touch the ground.
- Too fast movement.
