How to perform a Dead Bug?

  • Lie on your back and raise your legs, bending them at an angle of 90 degrees.
  • Push your lower back into the floor.
  • Raise your arms and stretch them toward the ceiling.
  • Lower your right arm and left leg while keeping your right leg and left arm straight.
  • Return your right arm and left leg to the starting position, then lower your left arm and right leg.
  • Keep your lower back on the floor and your abs engaged.
  • The feet and hands just barely touch the ground.

Common faults

  • Uncontrolled movements of arms and legs.
  • No full range of motion.
  • Lower back lifts off the floor when performing.
  • Not good trunk stabilization during execution.
  • Feet tap the ground.
