How do you perform Floor Touch Jump Squat?

  • Stand up straight with your feet together and your hands by your sides.
  • Take a small jump and land with your feet spread a little wider than shoulder width.
  • Bend your knees to get into a high squat position.
  • Then tap the ground between your feet with one hand.
  • Explosively jump up and bring your feet back together.
  • You can raise your arms sideways for better balance.
  • Repeat the movement, now tapping the ground between your feet with your other hand.
  • Inhale as you go down and exhale as you jump up.

Common faults

  • Back not straight when bending.
  • Knees not bent enough.
  • Not going down far enough.
  • Too much weight on the toes instead of the heels when lowering.
  • Too much movement in the back when rising.
