How do you perform Leg Raise Candlestick?

  • Lie flat on the floor with your legs straight.
  • Place your hands on the floor slightly away from your body.
  • Bend your knees first and bring them toward your hips.
  • Once your legs are across your torso, use your abdominal and core muscles to lift your legs straight up.
  • Try to fully extend your hips and raise your feet as high as possible with your legs straight.
  • Keep your arms flat on the floor for support.
  • Bring your knees back to your torso and then back to the starting position without them touching the floor.

Common faults

  • Your hips don’t come off the floor.
  • Your feet don’t get high enough.
  • Your legs are not outstretched in the start and end position.
  • Your feet tap the floor between reps.
