How do you perform Plank Up & Down?

  • Start in a plank position with your hands under your shoulders and your feet hip-width apart.
  • Lower to your right elbow, followed by your left elbow, to get into an elbow plank.
  • Push yourself up to a high plank position, starting with your right hand and followed by your left.
  • Repeat the movement by lowering your left elbow first and then your right elbow.
  • Breathe in and out as you make the movement.
  • Keep your hips level throughout the movement.

Common faults

  • Hips too high.
  • Do not keep your torso in a straight line during the movement.
  • Hands too far forward or too far apart.
  • No controlled movement.
