How do you perform Bent Over Tricep Extension?

  • Stand up straight with your feet hip-width apart and hold a weight in each hand.
  • Bend forward from your hips while keeping your back straight.
  • Keep your elbows against the body, just above your hips.
  • Let your forearms hang vertically down.
  • Now straighten your arms so that your forearms come up and hold for a second.
  • Just focus on your triceps.
  • Slowly lower the weights back to the starting position, keeping the elbows against your body at all times.
  • Keep your core engaged and breathe regularly.

Common faults

  • Insufficient contraction of the triceps during the exercise.
  • Lifting the shoulders during the movement.
  • Not keeping the elbows against the body during the entire movement.
  • Performing the exercise with too much speed.
