How to perform a Bird Dog?

  • Get on your hands and knees and tighten your abs.
  • Extend your left arm and right leg while keeping your balance.
  • Hold this position and inhale.
  • Come back to the starting position and repeat the movement on the other side.

Common faults

  • Lifting the shoulders during the exercise.
  • Lifting the hips during the exercise.
  • Insufficient contraction of the gluteal muscles during the exercise.
  • Raising your head during the exercise.
  • Insufficient stabilization of the abdominal muscles during exercise.
