How do you perform Oblique Twist Squat?
- Place your feet about shoulder-width apart, with your toes pointing slightly outward.
- Stand up straight with your hands behind your neck and elbows out to the side.
- Tighten your abs and glutes and look straight ahead.
- Bend your knees until your thighs are parallel to the floor.
- Pretend to sit in an imaginary chair. This is a squat.
- Keep your back as vertical as possible.
- Push back up and raise one knee.
- Bring your opposite elbow to the knee.
- Clear sides immediately bringing the other elbow against the other knee.
- When you have performed the movement on both sides, start again with the squat.
Common faults
- Too much leaning forward posture.
- Not a full squat when lowering.
- Elbows do not tap the knees in the upright position.
- Bad coordination.
