How do you perform Seated Dumbbell Press?
- Sit upright on a bench or chair with a dumbbell in each hand at shoulder height.
- Extend your arms up until the dumbbells are overhead.
- Bend your elbows forward and lower the dumbbells to your shoulders.
- Raise your arms back up and repeat.
- Keep your abs tight and your back straight.
- Inhale as you lower the dumbbells and exhale as you push them up.
- Repeat for the desired number of reps.
- You can perform the movement with both arms at the same time, with only one arm or alternately according to the instruction.
Common faults
- Using too heavy weights without good technique.
- Arms not stretched upwards.
- Not good breathing technique.
- Insufficient weight control when pushing up.
