How do you perform a Single Arm Seated Press?

  • Sit on the floor with your legs straight and hold a dumbbell at shoulder height with one hand.
  • Keep your back straight and your arm straight as you push the barbell high overhead.
  • Hold briefly and lower the dumbbell back to the shoulder.
  • Keep your abs tight and your back straight throughout the movement.
  • Inhale as you lower the weight and exhale as you push it up.

Common faults

  • Insufficient trunk stabilization during execution.
  • The weight does not end straight above the head.
  • Move the elbow too far to the side.
