How to perform a Sit Up?

  • Sit on the floor with your legs bent and feet on the floor.
  • Place the soles of your feet together and bend your knees outward. This is how you make room to get right.
  • Lower yourself back until your hands touch the floor behind your head.
  • Tighten your abs and lift your torso off the floor until you are sitting upright.
  • Try to push your hands forward between your knees as much as possible.
  • Repeat the movement.
  • If you wish, you can place a rolled up towel under your lower back.

Common faults

  • Hook the feet behind or under a support.
  • Don’t tap the ground behind your head.
  • Soles of feet not against each other and knees not spread so you can’t get far enough forward.
  • No straight back.
