How do you perform Squat Jacks?

  • Start in a standing position with your feet together.
  • Explosively lower and spread your feet out to the sides as you land in a squat position.
  • At the same time, bring your hands forward for better balance.
  • Immediately jump back up and bring your feet back together as you straighten your legs and clap your hands together over your head.
  • Repeat the movement for several reps, making a smooth and controlled squat-jump motion and keeping your core engaged.

Common faults

  • Bad squat technique.
  • Insufficient jump height.
  • Incorrect timing of the movement.
  • Lack of coordination between squat and jump.
  • Insufficient contraction of the gluteal muscles during the jump.
