How do you perform Straight Leg Donkey Kicks?

  • Start on hands and knees.
  • Raise one leg horizontally and straight back while extending your foot.
  • Hold for a moment and lower your leg.
  • Repeat with the other leg or with the same leg as instructed.
  • Keep your abs tight and your back straight.
  • Inhale as you go up and exhale as you go down.

Common faults

  • Not good muscle tone in the glutes.
  • Poor back alignment.
  • Insufficient coordination between the movement of the legs and hips.
  • Breathing not controlled.
