How do you perform a Burpee?

  • Start in a standing position with feet shoulder width apart.
  • Bend your knees to get into a squat position.
  • Place your hands on the floor in front of you and jump your feet back to get into a plank position.
  • Do a pushup, then jump your feet forward again to return to a squat position.
  • Finish by jumping upright with arms outstretched above your head.

Common faults

  • Chest not fully touching the floor.
  • Failing to straighten up sufficiently during the vertical jump.
  • Feet do not come off the ground during jump.
