How do you perform a Ground To Overhead?

  • Stand with your feet shoulder-width apart and hold a weight in each hand.
  • Slowly bend your knees and tap the weight on the floor.
  • Then raise the weight above your head with your arms straight.
  • Return the weight to the floor.
  • Keep your back straight and your abs tight.
  • Inhale as you lift the weight and exhale as you lower it.

Common faults

  • Incorrect posture at the beginning of the movement.
  • Insufficient stability in the shoulders and trunk.
  • Poor alignment of the knees.
  • Make a rounded back when going down.
  • No straight back or an overstretched back in the upward position.
