How do you perform Jumping Lunge?

  • Stand up straight with your feet hip-width apart.
  • Step forward with your left foot and bend your knee until you’re in a lunge position.
  • Explosively jump up and switch legs so that you are now in a lunge position with your right leg in front.
  • Repeat this movement for several repetitions.
Keep your back straight and your abs tight.
  • Inhale as you step and exhale as you jump.
  • Keep your arms more or less horizontal next to your body for better balance.

Common faults

  • The front knee is too forward (beyond the toes).
  • No straight back during the movement.
  • Not enough squat in the movement.
  • Pace too fast or too slow.
  • Feet are on one line making it difficult to keep balance.
