How do you perform Leg Raises Alternate?

  • Lie on your back with your hands next to your body.
  • Raise your legs until they point straight up.
  • Lower one leg to just above the floor while keeping the other leg up.
  • Then bring your leg back up.
  • Then repeat the movement with the other leg.
  • Keep your abs engaged and inhale as you raise your legs and exhale as you lower them.
  • Make sure your lower back stays flat on the floor throughout the exercise.
  • If the exercise is too difficult or if you have some problems in the lower back, you can put your hands under your buttocks for support.

Common faults

  • Do not keep your lower back against the floor during the movement.
  • Don’t extend your legs all the way.
  • No control over the movement.
  • Pace too fast or too slow.
