How do you perform a Shoulder Tap?

  • Start in a plank or push-up position with your hands directly under your shoulders.
  • Keep your torso tight by tightening your abs and glutes.
  • Touch your left shoulder with your right hand.
  • Switch sides while making sure to minimize movement in your hips as much as possible.

Common faults

  • Hips too low or too high. The back should remain in plank.
  • Hands not under shoulders.
  • Back, buttock and abdominal muscles are not tightened enough, causing instability.
