How do you perform Sumo Squat?

  • Place your feet wider than shoulder width with your toes pointing outward.
  • Lower into a squat, keeping your knees in line with your toes.
  • Keep your back straight and your arms forward and upward.
  • Push yourself back up to the starting position as you lower your arms.

Common faults

  • Your feet are too narrow.
  • Toes not pointed to the side.
  • Knees not above toes, causing your knees to bend inward.
  • Heels lift off the ground.
  • Lean upper body forward.
  • Sink too deep.
