How do you perform Weighted Calf Raise?

  • Stand up straight with your feet shoulder-width apart.
  • To make the exercise more difficult, you can stand with the front of your feet on an elevation (for example, a step).
  • Hold a weight in each hand.
  • You can put the weight on your shoulders or keep it next to you.
  • Lift your heels and press your toes as high as you can.
  • Hold that tension in your calves for a moment and then lower.

Common faults

  • Lifting the shoulders.
  • Overstretching the knees.
  • Performing the exercise with too much speed.
  • Poor balance and stepping forward during movement.
