How do you perform Jumps And Floor Touch?

  • Start in a standing position with your feet hip-width apart.
  • Make three short and fast jumps in a row.
  • Immediately after the third jump, bend your knees and explosively lower as you tap the floor next to your feet with both hands.
  • Land softly on the balls of your feet and immediately spring back up into the next jump.
  • Repeat the movement for several reps, making smooth and controlled jumps and touching the floor with light touches.
  • To make it fun you can make a quarter turn after every three jumps, once to the left and once to the right.

Common faults

  • Bad landing technique.
  • Knees dropping in.
  • Too much impact on the joints.
  • Arched back.
