How do you perform Ropeless Doudle Under?

  • Start in a standing position with your feet hip-width apart.
  • Jump up vigorously and clap twice in quick succession on the side of your thigh.
  • Clapping should be done quickly before hitting the ground with your feet again.
  • This exercise requires the same speed and coordination as a real rope double under.
  • In a true double under, you jump with a skipping rope and pass the rope under your feet twice during each jump.
  • So you perform a double under without rope.
  • Jump up with the fronts of your feet and keep your legs straight.
  • Keep your abs tight and land softly on the balls of your feet.
  • Continue to do quick jumps without a rope for several reps.

Common faults

  • Bad jump technique.
  • Incorrect timing.
  • Lack of coordination.
  • Folding your legs too much causes you to lose speed.
  • Not using the front of the feet enough.
