How do you perform Ropeless Doudle Under?
- Start in a standing position with your feet hip-width apart.
- Jump up vigorously and clap twice in quick succession on the side of your thigh.
- Clapping should be done quickly before hitting the ground with your feet again.
- This exercise requires the same speed and coordination as a real rope double under.
- In a true double under, you jump with a skipping rope and pass the rope under your feet twice during each jump.
- So you perform a double under without rope.
- Jump up with the fronts of your feet and keep your legs straight.
- Keep your abs tight and land softly on the balls of your feet.
- Continue to do quick jumps without a rope for several reps.
Common faults
- Bad jump technique.
- Incorrect timing.
- Lack of coordination.
- Folding your legs too much causes you to lose speed.
- Not using the front of the feet enough.
