How to perform a Sit Up?
- Sit on the floor with your legs bent and feet on the floor.
- Place the soles of your feet together and bend your knees outward. This is how you make room to get right.
- Lower yourself back until your hands touch the floor behind your head.
- Tighten your abs and lift your torso off the floor until you are sitting upright.
- Try to push your hands forward between your knees as much as possible.
- Repeat the movement.
- If you wish, you can place a rolled up towel under your lower back.
Common faults
- Hook the feet behind or under a support.
- Don’t tap the ground behind your head.
- Soles of feet not against each other and knees not spread so you can’t get far enough forward.
- No straight back.
