How do you perform Squat Jump?
- Place your feet about shoulder-width apart, with your toes pointing slightly outward.
- Stand up straight, tighten your abs and glutes, and look straight ahead.
- Bend your knees until your thighs are parallel to the floor.
- Pretend to sit on an imaginary chair.
- Squat down until your legs form a 90-degree angle.
- Jump up as high as you can while throwing your arms up.
- Land softly and return to the starting position.
Common faults
- Not good landing or jumping technique.
- Misalignment of the knees and hips.
- Excessive load on the knees.
- Breathing not controlled.
- Insufficient control over the movement.
- Weight too much forward so that you end up on your toes.
- Hips don’t go low enough.
- Look at the ground.
