How do you perform Star Jump?
- Stand up straight with your feet shoulder width apart.
- Jump up and spread your arms and legs out in an “x” shape.
- Land softly on the floor with your feet shoulder-width apart.
- Bend forward slightly and cross your arms in front of you in an “x” shape.
- Jump up again and spread your arms and legs out in an “x” shape.
- Repeat for the desired number of reps.
- Keep your abs tight and your back straight.
- Inhale as you jump and exhale as you land.
Common faults
- Not good landing or jumping technique.
- Not jumping high enough.
- Not a nice ‘x’ shape with arms and legs.
- Poor alignment of the knees and hips.
- Excessive load on the knees. Land softly on your toes and bend your knees.
- Breathing not controlled.
- Insufficient coordination.
