How do you perform Triceps Push Up?

  • Start in the plank position, with your hands under your shoulders and your legs extended behind you.
  • Bend your elbows at your sides and lower yourself until your chest touches the floor.
  • Push up on your hands to return your body to the starting position.
  • Keep your body in one line and your back straight.
  • The big difference with the push up is the position of the elbows. By holding your arms against your sides, the triceps are fully engaged.

Common faults

  • Your back does not stay in a straight line.
  • Hands too far apart.
  • Your arms are not fully extended when doing the push-up.
  • Your chest does not fully touch the floor in the lowest position.
  • Your elbows are pointing too far out.
