How do you perform Romanian Deadlift?
- Stand up straight with a dumbbell in each hand in front of your thighs.
- Keep your back straight as you push your hips back and lower the dumbbells down your legs.
- Only bend your hips until you feel a stretch in your hamstrings.
- Your knees should bend slightly but not too much. This way you relieve the tension in the lower back.
- Push yourself up by pushing your hips forward and squeezing your buttocks.
- Keep the dumbbells close to your body and your shoulders pulled back.
- Keep your abs tight and inhale as you go down.
Common faults
- Round back during execution.
- Excessive pressure on the lower back. Bend your knees slightly.
- Holding weights too far from the body.
